Consider wallpaper on the ceiling.

When you want to create interest in a room or add a hefty dose of color and pattern but aren’t sure about committing to wallpaper on all the walls, wallpaper on the ceiling might be a good option.

In this bedroom, wallpaper on the ceiling adds interest and sophistication while still keeping the calming vibes created by neutral walls and dark velvet drapes, making for a restful but not dull respite.

Any room with crown moulding is a good candidate a wallpapered ceiling; the moulding acts as a picture frame for the wallpaper, and that border really makes it look polished.

If you’re a real maximalist color-and-pattern-lover like me, you might even want to do one wallpaper on the walls, and a contrasting but complementary wallpaper on the ceiling. So fun!
